Choose the problem.
Then choose the tool.
A process manager and a privacy utility are not identical replacements for a gaming suite. They can still be better matches for a narrower task.
A guide to documented use cases, not a diagnostic test. All options are also explained below.
Compare by intended use
| Option | When to investigate | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Process Lasso | You want explicit process rules and resource controls | That its settings deliver better game performance than Radiant on your PC |
| O&O ShutUp10 | You want a focused interface for Windows privacy preferences | That a privacy change is an FPS improvement |
| Keep your current setup | You have not identified a problem or a relevant setting | That adding another utility is necessary |
Process Lasso: process-focused control
Bitsum’s Free vs Pro table lists controls such as affinities and priorities, while distinguishing trial-limited features from ongoing free access. Commercial licensing has separate conditions. Use the current table to check the exact rule you need rather than assuming “free” means every automation feature is unlimited.
It is a relevant comparison when your question is about an application’s resource handling. It is not evidence that every user should force priorities or affinity settings. A change should have an identified reason and a way to undo it.
O&O ShutUp10: privacy configuration
O&O describes ShutUp10 as a Windows privacy tool with a portable free edition and optional Premium features. Its central task is managing privacy preferences. We include it as an adjacent utility, not as a tested substitute for Radiant’s game-oriented features.
Compare which controls you actually want. Reducing data sharing and improving frame delivery are different goals; one should not be presented as proof of the other.
When doing nothing is a valid option
If your system already meets your needs, another tool adds another set of decisions and changes to track. Write down the symptom first. If you cannot connect a feature to that symptom, there is no clear basis for choosing between competing optimization packages.
How this shortlist was selected
These options have public documentation describing distinct tasks. This is not an exhaustive ranking, an affiliate leaderboard or a claim that we tested every product. Products are not assigned numerical scores because no shared benchmark dataset is available here.
Continue with the side-by-side comparison, the Radiant edition guide, or our source-based review. Each answers a different decision rather than repeating a generic “best optimizer” list.
